Every single ticket is processed by Eventbrite, who is also the merchant of record — meaning your payment, confirmation, customer protections, and refund processing are handled by a globally trusted platform.

💬 2. “Why are some events rescheduled?

Reschedules happen because we never want to run an unbalanced or low-attendance event. Ratios and room quality matter. If numbers are off or venue conditions aren’t up to our standards, we will always choose to adjust rather than run something subpar.

When this happens, we:

  • Email guests directly

  • Provide a 100% credit

  • Credits never expire

  • Guests can use credits at any future event, in any city

  • You can also switch to a different event immediately by emailing Support

We view reschedules as protecting the guest experience — not avoiding events.

💬 3. “Why don’t you offer automatic refunds?”

Because Eventbrite handles all payment processing, not us.

When you buy a ticket, the transaction takes place on their platform. They — not MyCheekyDate — manage refunds, reversals, disputes, and receipts.

That said, we never block a refund request. If you’d like a refund, you can request it directly through Eventbrite or ask us for help initiating it. Their approval process is based on timing and the specific ticket policy.

In cases where Eventbrite cannot issue a refund, we always offer:

  • Flexible credits

  • Credits that never expire

  • Complimentary upgrades if you’ve been inconvenienced

  • Priority seating for a future event
